Simple hair up with accessories

Having looked at bold shapes in the hair we moved onto simple shapes.

• It is important to keep your kit stock with important items such as a hairnet.
• Another tip for taming stray hairs is to spray hairspray onto your hands or a comb and gently smooth over the shape.
• You want to comb the hair through until it is free of knots.
• Then section the hair into three parts, run the comb from ear to ear along the crown. You will have two front sections and then the whole back section.
• Brush the main section into a neat ponytail at the nape of the neck. 
• You then want to roll the hair from the end of the hair to where you have tied it. Then secure it with wig clips (hook it forward and then down into the hair). If the hair is heavy you may need to use more pins or put them into the bun to secure it to the head.
• Using the end of the pintail comb move the shape of the bun round and secure the edges to the head.
• With the side sections they can be twisted or plaited and then secured around or under the bun.
• From there you can place or add any accessories to the hairdo.

This technique is really classy and can be used as a simple updo in a fashion shoot. I think the key to this do is definitely tidiness. I think this particular style went really well for me. If I were to try it again I would experiment with different accessories or maybe some different intricate plaits.
